Every woman that has ever served in the American military has volunteered to do so. Their accomplishments have been heroic, their sacrifices profound and their achievements largely ignored.

Unsung Heroes: The Story Of America's Female Patriots finally, and for the first time, sets the record straight.

You are invited to the world premier screening of this remarkable film, Executive Produced by Ron Howard and airing nationwide on public television in May 2014. The reception and screening is hosted by the Women in Military Service For America Memorial at the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery. Parking will be provided in the Arlington National Cemetery Parking Facility. As seating is limited, RSVP's are requested by May 2, 2014.

VADM Michelle Howard is about to become the Navy's first female 4 star. She was in charge of the task force that rescued the captain of the cargo ship Maersk Alabama. She was the first female graduate of the Naval Academy to reach Admiral and now serves as deputy CNO for operations, plans and strategy at the Pentagon.

Brigadier General Wilma Vaught is President of the Board of Directors of the Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation. She is one of the most decorated women in U.S. military history. She served as Chairperson of the NATO Women in the Allied Forces Committee and was the senior woman military representative to the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services.

Sgt. Major Laura Brown is the first female Base Sergeant Major in the history of Quantico Marine Corps base. She deployed twice to Iraq in support of Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Her numerous honors include the 2011 Major Megan McClung leadership awards.

Krewasky Salter is a retired United States Army Colonel. He holds a masters from the Air War University and a doctorate from Florida State University. His academic projects and publications include: The Story of Black Military Officers, 1861 — 1948 and his role as (guest) historian and curator at the Smithsonian Institution. His awards include the Congressional Black Caucus BrainTrust Award.
